For our next Message In A Bottle, we spoke to Victoria and Matthew about why they chose Bespoke Bottle Co for their vodka favours. Victoria and Matthew are friends of the Bespoke Bottle Co family, with Matthew a long-term friend of Creative Director Maddie's husband. Their wedding was equal parts traditional, celebrating their Greek culture and heritage, but also modern and unique, choosing to forego a wedding cake and have a spread of delicious desserts instead!
Back in 2023, they were the first couple to engage Bespoke Bottle Co for favour size bottles. They ended up choosing the 100ml and filling it with Vodka, Matthew's favourite spirit. With a luxurious wedding reception set amongst the elevated monochromatic look of the ivy ballroom in Sydney, the 100ml favours provided the ultimate table elevation.
How did Matthew propose?
Matthew proposed on our 4th anniversary at Zeta Bar, creating a romantic setting with candles, flowers, and a surprise video capture by his twin brother.
What were your top three non-negotiables in the wedding planning process?
A generous spread of delicious food, an elegant, open, and expansive city venue and no traditional cake—roaming desserts instead!
What are your and Matthew’s cultural backgrounds, and did they influence your wedding choices?
We both have Greek heritage, which played a significant role in our wedding. A Greek Orthodox ceremony was essential to us, and we incorporated Greek music and musicians for an authentic celebration.
Why did you choose to have wedding favours?
For tradition’s sake! We wanted guests to have a meaningful keepsake from our special day.
Why did you choose vodka for your wedding favours?
It looked fantastic in the bottles and happens to be our favourite spirit!
